Solved! Looking for advice on how to play a game on my laptop with out harming its battery life

Hey guys... I recently bought a hp core i5 laptop with 4gb nvidia graphics card and i was wondering if i can play video games with out harming its battery life.... I tried playing with it while the charger was still plugged in but it fried the adaptor of the charger and i bought another one..... So am scared playing again while plugged in... But i found out that the first charger i bought was a replacement adaptor not the original hp charger.. But still am not sure if i should play while plugged in..... Need ur help guys

Plug it in with the charger that is designed to work with it, thats the best option.
Dont use non genuine chargers.

Same goes for the battery too if it needs replacing - - buy only genuine replacement from the laptop maker's online shop.

Strange you should ask how to avoid harming the battery when it was actually the charger that got fried :/
