Looking for an upgrade (pc or mac)?

Time for an upgrade. Currently running on pc but been thinking about switching.

Currently apps that im running: visio, excell, ssh, email, gns3.

My thought was the new mac pro 13 with no touch bar since mainly using external monitors.

Price for the hardware is where i have a problem.

I could get a very powerfull laptop for that money.

Anybody could give me their 2 cents. Anybody went through this process?

Also should i even consider i7 or i5 should be adequate?

for what you are doing, unless very very complex excel an i3 would be fine.

If you have concerns over budget then PC is the only way to go.
