1. What is your budget?
~1000 (I can go to $1100, and to a maximum of $1200 if necessary, but I'd like to avoid this)

2. What is the size of the notebook that you are considering?
Any size works.

3. What screen resolution do you want?
Minimum of 1920 x 1080 is fine.

4. Do you need a portable or desktop replacement laptop?
Portable, I guess (i think desktop replacement means some bulky laptop?) this is going to be my main and only PC I don't have a desktop or laptop at the moment.

5. How much battery life do you need?
Doesn't matter.

6. Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)?
I'd like it to play ANY game on default settings, I don't really care for being able to handle on high or ultra settings but as long as it can run any game I throw at it that would be acceptable. The main point is that I really would like it to be able to handle ANY game

7. What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo/Video editing, Etc.)
Mainly gaming, and maybe photoshop in the future.

8. How much storage (Hard Drive capacity) do you need?
At minimum 500 GB Hard drive or at minimum 240 GB SSD.

9. If you are considering specific sites to buy from, please post their links.
Doesn't matter.

10. How long do you want to keep your laptop?
Pretty long maybe like at least the next 8 years.

11. What kind of Optical drive do you need? DVD ROM/Writer,Bluray ROM/Writer,Etc ?
I don't NEED one but a DVD would be nice, Bluray would be awesome since I never had a bluray player, but like I said it's fine without any.

12. Please tell us about the brands that you prefer to buy from them and the brands that you don't like and explain the reasons.
Any brand is fine.

13. What country do you live in?
USA

14. Please tell us any additional information if needed.

The details you have put are a bit strange as you said you wan't something portable but don't care about battery life. DRTs are the best for gaming laptops if desktops can't be bought some some reason but they are very big and have rubbish battery life. I would avoid thin laptops as they will not last 8 years and will not be able to play every game that is currently/going to be out. But these laptops have better battery life.

Anyways I don't think there is a laptop that I know that can play every game out there, last for 8 years and be portable at the same time and cost $1200. You will have to stretch your budget a lot further to get those requirements.
