With a GT 520M for gaming support that's good. It's 'low gaming Mojo' for you in most of the modern games.
It's up to you to figure out if the hardware will support Vbox/OSX. Can't offer a guess if it will or not.

See if they still have it in stock: J&R Music and Computer World via Amazon.
ASUS U36SD-XH71 $1199

About the 'hackintosh' mode. It's always best to go with hardware others have found support OSX.
The good news is that SandyBridge and GT 520M are already in use in Macs. You're half way there I think.

Delivering high value items to postal boxes is sometimes hard to get done.

Not yet available but will have custom configuration options: ASUS U36SG-DS51 @ XoticPC You can probably work with these guys. You talk directly to the owner and builders.

We will have the same problem the shipping is U.S. Only, Not Available to Alaska and Hawaii)

price seems fair but there is a lake of CPU options. 🙁

Also in SSDs - probably better value especially there.
Already have a retail OS? you won't need to pay for another copy.

I was looking again at Asus U36SD-XH71 and it seems like they can ship in canada. To my zipcode its 35$ with ups standard.

I never used that site so i would have to do some research to make sure its legit first.

The best laptops in most categories are ThinkPads. Look at the t420s for portability, or for slightly more performance, a lot less price but a little extra weight there is the t420. These laptops would probably last you 10 years if you don't throw them around all the time.
