1. What is your budget?

1200-1400 ish

2. What is the size of the notebook that you are considering?

size doesn't matter. Not interested in a 8lb laptop.
Avg weight im looking for is 4lbs.

3. What screen resolution do you want?

No restriction

4. Do you need a portable or desktop replacement laptop?

portable

5. How much battery life do you need?

No restriction

6. Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)?

League of Legends and maybe diablo 3 so nothing too hard to run.
I don't mind not running the new games in high :)

7. What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo/Video editing, Etc.)


I need a virtual box running mac osx to do some iphone apps.
Virtual studio 2010 shouldn't be too hard.

8. How much storage (Hard Drive capacity) do you need?


Looking for an SSD if possible. 128gb is fine.

9. If you are considering specific sites to buy from, please post their links.

Open to suggestion.

10. How long do you want to keep your laptop?

2 years or so.

11. What kind of Optical drive do you need? DVD ROM/Writer,Bluray ROM/Writer,Etc ?

Its useless weight but i don't mind if there is one.

12. Please tell us about the brands that you prefer to buy from them and the brands that you don't like and explain the reasons.

No restriction. I kinda like Asus tho but open to suggestion.

13. What country do you live in?

Canada. I have an US postal box if needed.

I did preorder something that would meet all my requirement but they ran in backorder 2 weeks after my order :(

With a GT 520M for gaming support that's good. It's 'low gaming Mojo' for you in most of the modern games.
It's up to you to figure out if the hardware will support Vbox/OSX. Can't offer a guess if it will or not.

See if they still have it in stock: J&R Music and Computer World via Amazon.

The best laptops in most categories are ThinkPads. Look at the t420s for portability, or for slightly more performance, a lot less price but a little extra weight there is the t420. These laptops would probably last you 10 years if you don't throw them around all the time.
