1_What is your budget?
I can spend around 1000 dollars, 1200 at most.

2_What is the size of the notebook that you are considering?
I would prefer 14-15 inches; 12 at lowest and 17 at max.

3_What screen resolution do you want?
Any is fine I believe

4_Do you need a portable or desktop replacement laptop?
More for portable for the sake of being portable. I do not have a desktop but I will be taking this laptop with me to school and everywhere (don't know how heavy laptops get, but as long as it can be carried in a bag/backpack without too much problem)

5_How much battery life do you need?
at least 4 hours average

6_Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)?

I would prefer be able to play almost any game available as of now (starcraft II) on any settings (lowest is fine with lowest resolution) and possibly almost any game in the near future on lowest setting.
I have been looking around, using this chart as a reference, and the lowest video card i would consider is the nvidia geforce gt 330m

7_What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo / Video editing, watching movies, Etc.)
I would like to watch movies/videos on youtube, listen to music (speakers aren't too important since i'll be using headphones most the time), music production, surf the web

8_How much storage (H.D.D Capacity) do you need?
Not too important, i guess 100 gb or more

9_If you are considering specific sites to buy from, please post their links.
newegg and amazon would be nice, but any legit site would be fine.

10_How long do you want to keep your laptop?
3-4 years, possibly longer

11_What kind of Optical drive do you need? DVD ROM/Writer,Bluray ROM/Writer,Etc ?
not too important, i don't know much about it I guess as long as it can read cds when I am installing stuff

12_Please tell us about the brands that you prefer to buy from them and the brands that you don't like and explain the reasons.
i would prefer a laptop that isn't too flashy. From what i have seen, alienware seems too flashy for me

13_What country do you live in?
USA

14_Please tell us any additional information if needed.
Some laptops I have considered are
Sager NP5125

which supposedly lasts 3-4 hours

Gateway id49c08

and the HP Envy

though i am not much of a fan of its outer design and it comes with i3 processor at 999?
