Hey there, as you can see I'm trying to improve my laptop. I want to know how to improve my laptop in a way that can improve game performance. I am looking for more hardware based improvements. I have about $110 in cash and 50$ for Best Buy.

^^ that, if you want to improve the normal usage then more memory, probably 4gb is a good upgrade. You can also add an ssd, but the best advice is probably to just save up for a new laptop. Look at the acer s3 series. They are great light, portable laptops that perform well too at an amazing price (3-400)

First your laptop can support a maxiumum of 2gb so even if you upgrade the memory it still won't be a good amount for games (having 4GB+ is recommended nowadays). Also due to your laptop's old hardware it cannot fully utilize modern an ssd to its max potential. Overall, I would save the money to buy another computer

Sadly the laptop cannot support an ssd as it cannot fit, so only a hybrid will work. Also do you think you can link me to a website or place where I can buy the acer s3 series for the prices you listed?

What do you mean only a hybrid can fit? Do you mean there isn't enough room for 2 drives and thats why you need a hard drive for the storage (makes sense) or that it physically won't fit in the slot? cause ssd's are usually thinner than hard drives. But either way as someone said earlier it won't be able to take full advantage so i'd just get a new laptop.

The ssd cannot physically fit into the slot. Another thing I should've added is that xp was originally installed into the computer and reinstalled windows onto the computer. Also, what laptop in the acer s3 series is good to buy. (example. s3-391) And where I should buy it from?
