1. What is your budget?

My budget is £360 (I think, ATM)

2. What is the size of the notebook that you are considering?

I am considering a 15.6" screen or less if this can be justified by a user.

3. What screen resolution do you want?

1366 x 768 is what I have now, I like it, but to be really picky I would love 1920 x 1080p, but 1366 x 768 is fine if need be.

4. Do you need a portable or desktop replacement laptop?

I am wanting to purchase a new laptop to replace my outdated 6-year-old laptop.

5. How much battery life do you need?

I am not fussed as the standard nowadays is 4 hours, right?

6. Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)?

I do not wish to play games.

7. What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo/Video editing, Etc.)

I would like to use PS, C4D perhaps, Microsoft Office as I am a college student.

8. How much storage (Hard Drive capacity) do you need?

500GB is what I would need but I would like 1000g if I can have that.

9. If you are considering specific sites to buy from, please post their links.

I have noticed that there is a laptop on offer at PCWorld/Currys for a really nice laptop that is in my exact price range, so feedback would be welcome: http://www.pcworld.co.uk/gbuk/computing/laptops/laptops/asus-x555la-15-6-laptop-black-10135223-pdt.html

10. How long do you want to keep your laptop?

As long as possible.

11. What kind of Optical drive do you need? DVD ROM/Writer,Bluray ROM/Writer,Etc ?

I do not need one currently but a standard DVD ROM/Writer would be fine.

12. Please tell us about the brands that you prefer to buy from them and the brands that you don't like and explain the reasons.

I have only ever had one laptop and it is an old Acer Aspire and I have had it for 6-years. I have noticed at LaptopMag I think it is, that they recommend Apple, HP and Asus if I'm not mistaken so what ever is the best for the money, but please justify.

13. What country do you live in?

UK

14. Please tell us any additional information if needed.

N/a

Thank you for your reply.

Unfortunately the build time is 8-10 days and I wanted it in time for Christmas; I don't have the funds until the 22nd. I guess I'll just order from PC World and reserve for collection.
