Looking to wipe my Acer clean.

Im trying to wipe my acer laptop clean. I've tried the Alt/F10 but it brings up black screen with NOEXECUTE=OPTIN.. What next?

Hi,

It seems like the built in recovery image of your laptop had been corrupted or damaged.

Please do refer to this thread for the complete steps on how to do a clean install of Windows.

If these will not work you may need to order a recovery disc from Acer.

Hi Scott,
If your data is not that important then i suggest you to reinstall it with New Operating System. Wiping your laptop clean and installing new OS almost does the same task. I would suggest formatting since it doesn't throw up the error which you are facing. If data is much needed then backing it up and then formatting will be the best solution.
