Lowest priced laptop with GTX 260 equivelant?

I would like to find a laptop with the same power as my current desktop

I have an AMD athlon 2 x4 640

2x2gb corsair XMS3 DDR3 1600MHz (downclocked to 1333 by default)

EVGA GTX 260 superclocked core 216, 896MB GDDR3

It doesn't max out GTAIV or bad company 2, but it does good enough.

So I guess my other question would be: are these games CPU dependent, or would a laptop with the same ram and mobile card equivalent do pretty well?

Without going with a specifically designed gaming laptop/notebook, you aren't going to find that kind of horsepower in a mobile platform. You might want to check out one of these, an Alienware M15x. Good luck!

On the Nvidia mobile side 460m, 480m and 485m should be able to handle either one of those titles as good as your PC at standard definition and smooth play

On the ATI side I wouldn't get anything lower than 5870m or 6970m and you should have no problems either.

Go here to check which mobile GPU's are actually worth the cost and which ones are renamed pretenders.
