I was Just wondering because i am getting a M15x in the fall if it is worth it?
Can I upgrade manually instead of paying extra for dell to do it?
If so could i SLI 2 Graphics cards in it?
If it isnt what laptop should i get?

How much are you spending on this laptop and what configuration on you planning on getting (list specs pls)?

You can upgrade things like CPU, RAM and HDDs with only a little trouble. The CPU would be the toughest. However, mobile graphics cards are really tough to find and are mad expensive. Additionally, the M15x was never designed with an SLI solution in mind. If you could fit both card in, which I doubt, you would most likely encounter overheating issues. All told, not worth the trouble.

The only parts of laptops that can be upgraded are RAM and HDD occasionally the DVD drive.
What you buy is what youll get.

i wanted to upgrade the Graphics card manually because i wanted to upgrade from stock Nvidia card to the 260M but i did some searching and found that on ebay its almost 500 so is there a card that would be better than the 240m or should i just upgrade to the 1GB Ati 5730

If you are going to upgrade it, do it off of Alienware's site and go for the 5850. It's as fast as the 260M, has DX 11 support and is cheaper.

Back to your original point, it's easier and better to pay Dell a bit extra or simply to buy the higher spec model. Once you open that case up to do it yourself, your Warranty goes out the window.
