Macbook Pro vs The New Razer Blade

I would like to be able to play some games on my computer and I know that macs are not good for gaming. My father is concerned that the razer will not be good for school. Is the razer a feasible option for playing games, while also being able to be used for school? Thanks for the advice.

It's got every bit as much CPU power as a 15" Macbook Pro (more, actually, since it has a good GPU), and it only weighs 4 lbs. Not sure how good the battery life is, but I'd imagine it's at least 3-4 hours.

Sounds like a solid college laptop to me - could game, could do typical notetaking or class stuff, and it's pretty portable - my HP Probook weighs .7 lbs more than that, and I take it everywhere.

Right now i have a 7 year old iMac and i am looking at getting a computer that i can use for school( AKA it is portable) and it can game a little. My father is really wanting me to get a mac book but i am leaned toward the new razer blade with 500-1000gbs. Each almost cost the same amount. Please help me decide which one i should go for. Thanks!

If i do the razer blade should i go for the 512 gb version--$2100 or the 1000gb version $2500.

for gaming a mac? no.

the razer should be fine

the problem with gaming laptops as study laptops is battery life, weight and portability/size

choose a light model with a gtx1050ti and you should be fine
