Solved! Matshita uj-850s drivers

Hello,
I have a philips freevents laptop and my cd/dvd drive worked fine up until recently, i realised i couldnt play dvd's or burn to discs. I have tried to uninstall and reinstall the drive and tried updating the drivers and it still isnt working. when i go onto the device manager there is an exclamation mark next to the cd drive icon. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP!!!!!
