Media keys to work with itunes!

I have no idea where to post this but, I am trying to get my keybaord media shortcuts (play/pause, stop, next, back, etc.) to work with my iTunes as they do when the iTunes window is maximized. I used to use mmkeys, but I found that when I had iTunes open and played Half Life engine based games (only ones I remember having the problem), it would cause my mouse and FPS to skip quite frequently.

I liked mmkeys.dll because it was a single file copied to a single directory with no other applications need to use it. Does anyone know a fix to mmkeys or a better program?

I'll try and give mmkeys another go, but when I tried to install in in the \appdata\roaming\itunes, there was no folder for itunes at all. Just microsoft and macromedia folders.

And this is for Windows 7 pro.
