[citation][nom]zoemayne[/nom]What are their stage/porn names?[/citation]
Mine is Rusty Rothchild.

[citation][nom]mikenygmail[/nom]Nice models, no offense but the guy in the middle may want to cut down on the eggnog...[/citation]
Tip of the day: Using the phrase "no offense" makes you out to be a world-class prick. Enjoy the ban!

[citation][nom]stingstang[/nom]Why doesn't Jane model once in a while? We all know she has something to show![/citation]

Because I would look like a man left behind on the moon in every photo.

I think we're more after "I'm not so sure about this, but in any case you should buy this laptop!" That would be cute.

...personally, I think that you get assigned all these model/booth babe/etc. articles for these extra comments that roll in from drooling computer geeks saying they wish you'd get in front of the lens more. I'm not complaining though; most any other time we might compliment a tech and/or gaming woman on the Internet it turns out to be a dude, who just wanted the best players on his team.

Have the HT gift guide come out? If so where is it online as I can't find it.
Nice models but would like to see what the actual tech hardware is.
Thanks!

[citation][nom]njt[/nom]like.... wow. reinforcing stereotypes much?are you going to put devin in some skimpy swimsuit for the female audience as well or do you feel safer going with the chauvinistic pigdom?[/citation]

Some find it offensive; some turn their eyes away; some overreact. Clearly, the models are in it because they are being compensated according to the capitalist system and enjoy utilizing their strength to create wealth for themselves.

I see no problem with that.

i would see no problem with it either if they had both male and female models, since you don't see the problem, the stereotypes they're reinforcing here are:

"computer enthusiast=sad nerd without a life or girlfriend, so let's titillate them"
"computing is a male-exclusive profession"
"female, only good in the kitchen and the bedroom"

oddly enough, those are stereotypes that people still think is ok to perpetuate. they're really not.

[citation][nom]JMcEntegart[/nom]It's true, none of the Tom's Hardware men will put on an elf costume for less than $10K per day. More if they have to wear the shoes with the little bells on the toesies.[/citation]
ya the guys are just afraid they will be overwhelmed with responses from all the women asking them for dates and such or are to embarrassed of meeting their future wife thru the internet.

oh man learn to work with what you've got, ladies love the wit, just tell these jealous guys your security, it takes some one like you beat back all the guys in the office off these girls.

you don't understand how the laws of nature work and the ways of love, lust and romance and the hand god dealt you in the game of life do you. that's not a question so don't bother responding.
what i don't see you doing is volunteering to take these girls place or be the male model Rachel and Jane want to display.
if you can't be part of the solution, then don't bother whining about the problem, *itching never solves anything, it just makes the rest of us want to put you some place the rest of us will never have to see or hear you again.

"computing is a male-exclusive profession"

dunno about that, but at toms, incidentally 99% of members are males. so its natural to focus on the 99% rather than on the 1%.

if you want male models, feel free to give toms some money so they can hire males.

there are a number of large logic errors in there, and quite an arrogance as well, since you also seem to like stereotypes, i could hand you a geographical one and guess at your location. you assume, for instance, that i am young and material that women may find attractive (you did notice that they did not go for middle-aged, frumpy women, i assume). but in any case, i'll bite, i am male, i do have a female companion, and i volunteer, hear that, ladies of TG?

I'm all for getting some hunky guys to model the tech along with the ladies. Either way, can't wait for the gift guides. Even though I can never afford any of it, I just can't resist sex appeal and new electronics.
