Microsoft Surface Book i5 won't connect to my girlfriend's router. It will connect to my router and to my friend's router (routers are in 3 separate homes), but it won't connect to my girlfriend's router. Date and time are correct on the Surface. Girlfriend's router connects to my Asus laptop just fine. It's a TP Link router. The Surface is finding the router, but will not connect to it.
We've tried to delete the router to get rid of any profiles/settings, but that didn't work. It recognizes the router in the available WiFI's list. But it will not connect to it.
I'm not technical, so can only try basic troubleshooting. I have read that the Surface products have a problem with router connections as they get older. And that they are difficult to work on. So we're leaning to tossing the Surface and buying a new laptop. But it has an i5 CPU in it and decent specs otherwise, so I hate to just toss it. Thought I would post and see if anyone is a Surface guru on here.
