The hell... I just bought a bunch of Microsoft licenses for a virtualized environment about a week ago. I'm going to need more details on the changes but I bet I could have saved some cash if I had waited.

It sounds like these changes also affect pre-existing software licenses, but I'm not sure. It sounds kind of vague, but you're probably right, you might have saved money by waiting.
