[citation][nom]rooket[/nom]Also not true. I know several married guys with kids that fit this description, whom previously were single. One of which has twins now.[/citation]

I give you about 30% chance that those friends of yours are bisexual, at least, or more that that: severe cases of the closet mentality.

[citation][nom]Curnel_D[/nom]...but a majority of homosexuality 'is' a lifestile choice. And saying it's not is a discredit to them.[/citation]
Oh wow! Even though I know you won't care or think any differently, let me tell you that I never chose my sexuality, similarly as you didn't nor did anyone you know. I wonder why anyone who doesn't understand this issue feels that they have even the slightest authority to explain it, oh, and for the record, it's comments like yours that do homosexuals discredit. I spoke with Jesus last Sunday and he told me is OK with my sexuality!

Curnel_D: Did you really have to bring religion into this discussion? This is a website about technology, not Jesus. Go preach somewhere else...And your buddy who is struggling with his homosexuality-why would he "choose" such a hard lifestyle? You don't sound desensitized--you sound brainwashed and ignorant. Keep drinking the kool-aid, but quit bringing it to Tom's...

One could only hope. Sarah Palin for one needs to fade away back into media nothingness.

[citation][nom]anhxeom[/nom]Next month some gay MIT student will invent a "stealth" counter measures against the Gaydar......[/citation]
Shhh! Don't leak our secret plans or the gay mafia (led by the FABULOUS Elton John) will give you bad hair cuts and bad fashion tips!

lol 😀

[citation][nom]Curnel_D[/nom]If we go by your assumptions that homosexuals are 'born' gay, then we might as well compare homosexuality to me being born into a big nose. And I'm certainly not ashamed of who I am because I have a nose that's slightly larger than average. There are known cases where certain bodies have too much/not enough of certain hormones that lead them to a gender confused attraction, but a majority of homosexuality 'is' a lifestile choice. And saying it's not is a discredit to them.[/citation]
For your information we ARE born gay. It is not a choice at all. Why on earth would I choose to be in a minority that is often hated and treated very poorly. It is even still puishable by death in some countries. I ask you, would you choose something like this? Also when did you choose to be straight?

[citation][nom]Curnel_D[/nom]I have many homosexual acquaintances and 2 friends, one very homosexual and proud, and the other struggling with homosexuality. And I can tell you right now Jesus didn't tell you that he's OK with homosexuality. The word strictly forbids homosexuality, just as it forbids lying, stealing, or even lust. Christ will be the first to forgive you of homosexuality, but he will never accept it. Imagine it just the same as a man who has trouble with being attracted to younger girls, or a man who has natural tendencies to steal or lie without thought. It's all temptation that can only be conquered by Christ as your weapon against it. (There's no exception, all sin is the same, even if we as humans can't understand that concept)Christ will love you for who you are, but he will never accept sin. To accept sin would make God unjust. It wont happen. To Forgive sin in your attempt of turning from the sin, God becomes graceful. This will always happen. Maybe I seem somewhat desensitized atm, and I am. And it's completely because of this comment: "I spoke with Jesus last Sunday and he told me is OK with my sexuality!"Explore who Christ really is before you go telling people what he says. He will never contradict the Word, and will never contradict himself.[/citation]
Stop talking about myths and live in reality, why don't you?

[citation][nom]Curnel_D[/nom]Perhaps you guys didnt read the "I spoke with Jesus last Sunday and he told me is OK with my sexuality!" post before mine. But hey, I understand. In any forum on the interwebz, there's always a group of people that are scared to death of religion, and will raise their pitchforks at the first mention of Religion, God, or anything contrary to their belief that the universe revolves around them.[/citation]
Speaking for myself, of course, I'm not scared at all by religion. Instead I look at it as a pesky fly that refuses to go away and needs to be swatted. That's not to say religion doesn't have it's good points. Most of it is harmless or even good for people. But when people like you use it to cause harm to others and completely disregard the facts that are staring you in the face, THAT is annoying.

[citation][nom]ravewulf[/nom]Also when did you choose to be straight?[/citation]
And in case you didn't understand the point of that last question, I'm making a a point. Saying someone chose to be gay is the exact same as saying someone chose to be straight. It's all based on the same flawed logic that you and others like you cooked up to feel less guilty about your true feelings about us. This way you can blame us instead of properly confronting your own flaws.

I'm an athiest, and that's one of the more rediculous videos I've ever seen. You're an idiot.

Whatever. I thought it was funny. Just trying to lighten the mood a bit.

My Bending-Unit 22 is equiped with gaydar. its very useful as I can always ask him to point out every homosexual in the room :)

Picture a guy with beer gut, the remnants of a mullet and his favorite music is classic rock, his favorite car is the irocz camaro.

hmmmm, that would make him a beer drinking, womanizing pig with low goals in life, and probably a red neck.

Would your really need a mathematical formula from MIT to figure that out??? probably not.

To me, gays are in the same pool as pot smokers. It's an extremely strange comparison, I know. But initially, I didn't like either. "They were bad for you." And while I haven't tried either, I have slowly become tolerant of both.

The main reason I am able to tolerate both groups is because I rarely see either group become aggressive or act criminally towards random people around them. Pot smokers are so out of it the worst they can do is raid your fridge, and gays just want to be accepted as regular human beings.

Religion and politics are the groups who have a few crazies creating violence and mayhem. I'm not talking about the majority... just a small percentage of each group. I do not see those small percentages in gays and potsmokers.

I'd rather we argue about how inept our politicians are and compare that to how inept our average voter is. We could use a nice clean sweep of all the politicians, but not in the French Revolution way.

For those of you discussing genetic v.s. choice here is some interesting info. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Biology_and_sexual_orientation

Seems it's probably about 50/50 of both. Now those scientists can point the gaydar at the profiles of the participants of their studies and find out if it really works.

As a technology, it's interesting and spooky. Think of a fundamentalist government pointing this tool at their citizens. Or developing similar tools to infer gun ownership, unacceptable political views, if you use drugs etc. Lots of data and metadata out there.

Your kind always uses the the good name of the Lord to validate your hate speech, so why can't I as a pro-gay person use the good name of the Lord to tell you that my understanding is that I should be compassionate, understanding, supportive, and retain a certain level of self dignity instead of being a sheep and follow the words of men who wear the cloth in the name of the Lord and spread the true poison of hate, which apparently you have swallowed my friend. Cheers!
