Question Mixer and interface problem

Before I start, I just recently bought these and I have it set up:


2 Stanton T-62 Direct Drive Turntables
Numark M2 DJ Mixer
Pioneer DJ Rekordbox Interface


My problem is that I can hear everything in the background on my headphones and there is a lot of screeching noises. What could be the problem?

Did you connect the turntables to the RCA Phono of the M2? Are the switches set to phono instead of line?
