I think google was right since they had to because of the courts. But I do think that this model shouldnt have taken this so far. Also what happened to freedom of speech? The blogger was not threatening in any way, just stating their opinion."

you're an idiot
what the hell does this have to do with freedom of speech ?

Freedom of speech = CONGRESS shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, ...

where the hell did congress do anything ?

and does "stating their opinion" have to do with anything ? Libel and slander are not protected by the 1st amendment.

Haha. Yey! american law... and freedom bullsh**.
They sue you for speaking your piece of mind, where is the freedom of speech? It is just a blog people can say anything, you don't have to listen or like all that crap.
This is a perfect example of: "Stupid is who stupid does" to quote a really brilliant man, and the injustice that the justice system does.
The judges have too much power, a jury formed of idiots will not help in bringing the right decision to light.
Abuse of power.
And the saddest thing is that the blogger was right, i saw some pictures, and they are heavily altered, She was hot maybe some 20 years ago... now "the wheel" turned and she can no longer keep her old life style, and she got mad. BUHUHU! :) so childish...

So by posting comments like: "skankiest in NYC" and "a forty-something who may have been hot 10 years ago when she was 36." one breaks the law?

[citation][nom]Glorian[/nom]Sure there is nothing wrong with stating ones opinion, but these are not opinions the purpose of this person was to land personal attacks at Cohen. The internet is no different that a magazine/newspaper. The thing that I despise about the internet are the people who hide behind a screen and don't have the testicular fortitude to tell a person off in person.[/citation]

Well, in this case, it was a woman who was behind the screen, so she has no testicles to speak of, lol. How would that be correctly phrased in the case of a female? Hehe

[citation][nom]kittle[/nom]People seem to forget that freedom of speech works BOTH WAYS.If somebody calls me an ___ im free to turn aroud and tell them to STFU.[/citation]

It seems to me the model was taking the high road by not making a nasty response on the blog. She decided to throw the book at the woman instead, LOL.

It's not about what was said, but hiding behind an online screen name. If you're going to say it on it.

Not that I have ever blogged or ever plan to, but this seems to me a terrible precedent to set. When it comes to technology and the Internet, I have zero faith in judges and the justice system. How can someone make a ruling when most of them still ask their kids how to send pictures via e-mail...
