I bought the game and i have no complaints... the matching system seems to work great, about the no dedicated servers i've only got like 2 bad servers where i lagged, but that was just after a server change mid game... overall the games great, you can boicot, but thats just the more you miss out on lol

I bought the game, and i do not mind it. I would prefer dedicated servers and more players, but as long as the host does not leave the server, gameplay can be pretty smooth.

But in 2 games, the game became very laggy and i could not leave because i didnt want to add a "loss" to my win streak.

This is evil. Especially that bs about the donating to veterans charities mess. Looks like most people are just dumb, docile consumers afterall. The only hope we have left against this crap is some kind of soccer mom outrage about the controversial scenes that little billy has to watch everytime he plays the game on the family tv.

BTW... if pc users are in the minority then at some point, if pc users are pushed too far they may simply stop using their pcs for high end gaming and suddenly atvidia will get all upset about that as well as intel and amd.

I play the PC version everyday, and I'm currently now only a PC gamer. I will admit the no dedicated servers is a bit pre-quake era. Hopefully they will release a patch with dedicated support, its been done before, and it can be done again. On the good side of things, the game plays great, the PC version in my opinion holds more FPS than consoles ever will. I really dont know why people are so angry about it. But in all honestly ,this tops what COD 4 had, minus dedicated servers. And the big con to modern warfare 2 is the amount of players..... as mentioned above by a few of you guys, 32 players would have been EPIC !!. ...... but now its only 9v9 ? and some of these maps could easily accomodate 32 players. IW is full of crap when they say they optimized them for 9v9 max. HAHA anyone whos played MW1 will know its actualy reversed, Modern Warfare 1 has maps to small for 32 people, and Modern Warfare 2 has maps to big for only 18 people. We can only hope a patch & high demand, that IW will get their heads out of their A$$ES and make a change. Otherwise Battlefield BC 2 will shadow this game in every way besides single player.

My biggest bugbear is the lack of console. I'm a single player gamer and I love using console "hacks" for fun. *sigh*

Great game imo. Short single player but has more than just a story where everything goes your way. Like to see the good guys have a little trouble every now and then.

it's only sell from hype. wait a couple of months and the sales will slow down. look at gta 4, fable 2, halo, and metal gear solid 4, they all have massive hype and they all don't sell after the hype is dead. the sales of games on the 360/ps3 are based on hype. once hype dies, so do sales.

Lol my brother shelled out the cash to get the night vision goggles, holy crap they suck ass, even for 50 extra bucks. You could do better buying night vision from a hunting outfitter for the money.

Guys, details for Modern Warfare 3 has been released!

In MW3, you won't be able to change graphical settings. IW wants you to play their game the way they made it.
In MW3, you also will be limited to one rifle. IW think that it's unfair for the AI that they have to suffer the wrath of your dragunov when they only have an uzi.
In MW3, it also has been revealed that the aforementioned lone rifle will deal only 5 damage out of a health of 1000. This is to ensure that the AIs get a chance to react before you kill them dead.
Lastly, in MW3 you won't be able to change your controls - hey, that would provide an advantage to those using your gaming mice.
