Monitor Resolution Issue

How is there no thread here for Windows Computers? Am I missing something.

Anyway, on to my problem. I just got an Acer V277u bmiipx, which has a resolution of 2560 x 1440. I have an HP 8300 Tower, with an i7 processor and 16gb of ram and a display port. I'm using an older AMD Radeon HD 6570, though, to hasten video rendering and it has a max resolution of 2560 x 1600.

When I use the HDMI Port on the 6570 card, the resolution is stuck at 1080P. And that sucks.

To get the DisplayPort working I have to physically remove the card, but once I do that, the DP (using the built in Intel 4000 graphics) puts out the full resolution of 2560 x 1400.

I've tried uninstalling the 6570 driver and reinstalling. I've tried going into registry editor and adding in the full resolution but it never shows up as an option.

Tonight, I went and picked up a new HDMI cable as I feared that the one I commandeered from my blu-ray player was old and couldn't support a higher resolution. That didn't fix it either.

Anyone have any ideas?
