Monster Hunter World - A Portent of Disaster Quest Guide

Once again, you are required to kill an elder dragon and that may take a lot of your time if you don’t know about the monster. But, if you want to know about the quest and how you can complete it, refer to the guide given below:
Walkthrough:
Now that’s the first of its kind quest. This is because unlike the quests where you again face a monster, you will be again facing an elder dragon. And the only difference this time is just the location. So that means you practically just need to again defeat the elder dragon that you defeated before. So the objective of the quest is to slay Kushala Daora.

Yes, the same dragon that you fought previously. It may be a bit challenging to fight this one as it is a very strong opponent, you will not find it much arduous. This is because you have defeated it once so doing it again shouldn’t be a problem. Anyways, if you successfully complete the objective, you will be rewarded with a generous amount of 18000z which you got the last time you defeated this monster. You will be given a window of 50 minutes to defeat the Kushala Daora but if you fail to do that, you will fail the quest. You will also fail it if you faint three times during the quest. Lastly, you will be required to have a hunter rank of 14 which you should have by now. Anyways, with the basics out of the way, let’s start the quest:
- The only difference in this quest is of the location so that means you need to follow the same procedure that you did the last time. Instead of AREA 3, this time, the fight will start in the AREA 5 and after that, the Kushala Daora will fly to the AREA 4 and then AREA 1.

- Once you do enough damage and it becomes wounded, it will go back to its nest that is in the boughs of Ancient Forest in the AREA 16. And that’s where the Pukei-Pukei prefers to roam so make sure to avoid it as much as you can, your primary focus is only the Kushala Daora.

- As you already know, that the Kushala Daora is weak against the thunder element and is susceptible to blast and poison ailment so make sure to use them against it. Also, the head, tail and front legs of Kushala Daora are most receptive to the damage. The wings and head of the monster are both breakable and its tail is severable.

- So make sure to keep these things in mind when you are fighting it, you already know how it attacks and when to dodge its attacks so it will just be a matter of time when you finally kill it.
Once you have killed the Kushala Daora, you will be able to complete the quest and will be rewarded with a generous amount of 18000z.
