There is no doubt that the game Monster Hunter World is fun to play along with your friends. Completing quests and hunting monsters with friends has its own fun. But, you should be able to know how to start a quest and how your friends can join it to avoid any confusions. Therefore, follow the steps given below:
Starting a Quest:
In order to start the quest with your friends, you will need to do a few things. There is no rocket science behind it, just a couple of steps and you will be able to play a quest of your choice with your friend. So to start a quest, follow the below-given steps:
- Firstly, you need to go to the nearest Quest Counter. If you are inside the Gathering Hub, you will be able to see it near the bar.
- Once you reach the Quest Counter, you will come across the Hub Lass, speak with her and you will be able to access the questions menu.
- Now in the questions menu, you need to select “Post a New Quest.” Once you do that, you will be then able to choose the quest that you want to embark on.
- There will be all quests; Assigned, Investigations, Events and Optional. You can select the one that you want.
- Once you select the quest, a dialog box will appear that will ask you how many players you want to allow and if you want to set up a passcode or not.
- Now what you need to do is to set a passcode and also limit the number of players to the number of your friends. This will not allow other random players to enter your quest.
- Now once you have set up the passcode and given it to your friends, select a camp you want to spawn at and then confirm the selection.
Once done, the quest will start loading providing you some time to get some provisions and get your friends into some cooperative action.
Tell Your Friend(s) to do These Things:
Once you have started the quest, you will need your friends to do some things to join you on the quest you have selected. Tell them to take the following steps:
- They should go to the Quest Counter and then select the “Join a Quest.” After that, click on the “Available Quests.”
- Once done, they will be able to see the quest categories. Go ahead and select the quest category that you have chosen.
- Now they will get the information for all the quests along with the name of your character on the right side and below the map where “Members” is written.
- Now confirm the selection and it will ask for the passcode. Tell them to enter the passcode that you put while creating the quest and they will be able to join you.
Once you and your friends are ready, just open the departure window and then select the “Standby for Departure” option and it will launch the quest.
