This is the first multiple monsters slaying quest of Rotten Vale. But, it will be fund to complete as it is different from routine tracking and killing a single monster.

Finally, a quest that is a bit different than the routine hunting of a single giant monster. Although it also involves killing some monster you will get to fight more than one monster. The objective of this quest is to slay 14 Hornetaur that are found in nearby areas. Anyways, if you complete this quest successfully, you will get the reward of 2520z that is far lesser than the previous quests but there is nothing you can do about it, duty calls! The time limit of completing this quest is 50 minutes and if you do not complete this quest in that time, you will fail the quest.
Also, if you faint three times during the quest, you will fail it as well. Lastly, you will need a Hunter Rank of eight to start this quest which you would already have by now. So with the basics out of the way, let’s complete this quest:
1. This is a pretty straightforward quest for various reasons. Firstly, there is a good chance that you will not face any large monsters during this quest. Secondly, you will not have to go far to find the monsters you are going after. Thirdly, these monsters are not very fast, dangerous or durable so you will not have a hard time slaying them.
2. The Hornetaur are not similar to their names as they don’t resemble with hornets. Instead, they are overgrown enemy grasshoppers. So if you want to find them, go to the AREA 3, and 4 as they usually lurk there.
3. Once you find them, all you need to do is to kill fourteen of them. Take your time and kill them. If you do not find enough of them in AREA 3 then you can go to the AREA 4 to find some more and kill them to reach the required amount of Hornetaurs to kill.
4. Also, if you have killed the Hornetaurs in both Area 3 and AREA 4, you can always go far from there and then come back and you will find some more Hornetaurs. This is because the monsters usually respawn when you leave their area. So you can do that as well, if you are unable to meet the required number of monsters to slay.
Once you have killed all fourteen of the Hornetaurs, you will be able to complete the quest and then you will be rewarded with 2520z.
