General Information:
Kulu-Ya-Ku appears in the quest that comes after the one with the Great Jagras so that means it is the second large monster of the game. Strengths and Weaknesses:
When it comes to its strengths, the Kulu-Ya-Ku is not terribly resistant to any of the elements and same is with the ailments. But when it comes to its weakness, then this monster is very vulnerable against the water element and moderately weak against all other elements and ailments as well. So that means you are free to bring any ailment you want. There is not much about its weaknesses as all are at the same level in damage besides the water element which has a full three sat rating.

Preparation:
As mentioned above, the monster is weak against the water element so it is recommended that you pack a water element weapon with you. Also, the monster is moderately weak against all ailment so you can take any ailment to the combat. But besides these two main things, there is not much to pack, just eat a good meal and if you want a surefire way to make it drop the boulders it picks to throw at you, you can pack some Flash Pods.

The tool use of Kulu-Ya-Ku is limited to digging up a boulder and then using it as the Bludgeon and as a shield to block frontal attacks. So for this very reason, pack some slinger ammo as a few projectiles will make it drop the boulder. The most dangerous attack of Kulu-Ya-Ku is the leaping boulder slam. It can perform the same attack without the boulder but that will deal less damage.
Lastly, it also pecks with its beak. Just when you are attacking it, make sure to attack from the side or behind as it is safer and will save you if it is holding a boulder.
