month old laptop won't keep a charge

I bought a laptop a month ago. from the source over here in canada.. and for some reason the battery says '' not charging. '' I did notice the charger that came in the box. was not the correct charger... it does fit Inot this laptop but I guess there's either a lack of power or not enough to power it... The charger is a Dell charGER

if some one could recommend me a fix that I could do. Would be awsome. it doesn't show a problem with the battery. As I had a laptop that shows the battery is broken. I've lost my receipt so I cannot return the laptop so I'm trying to fix the problem

Warranty it. Better than trying to fix it yourself it should be covered under warranty.
