MSI GS30 displayport

Hello, I am curious if I can use the laptop display when gaming on the msi gs30 with an egpu. Displayport is input and output, right?

To support an E-GPU you need a laptop that supports it. and Display port just outputs video however if you don't have a display port monitor, display port can be adapted to every other display standard with some cheap adapters

Sorry I looked into the laptop model more it DOES support an E-GPu but you need the MSI box thing and it plugs into the back not the display port

Does the egpu need to be plugged into a monitor for better fps, or can it send the video back to the laptop?
