I'm looking into getting this little toy, my question is to those who already have/had it.
Is the SSD in it is a M.2 SATA or a 2.5" Sata drive?

It's an M.2 . I have one with a 980m, don't expect to be able to upgrade your GPU beyond a 980m as MSi reneged on the promise to upgrade to pascal. I would recommend saving a little bit more and getting one with at least a 1060 imo.

Thanks, that's all I needed to know.
I am building a much stronger desktop on the side, so this said "toy" will be more than enough for my needs in mobile form.

No worries, just thought I'd throw that out there as for about $200 more you will get nearly twice the GPU performance with the 1060 over the 970m.
