Solved! Msi GT72s 6qe Power problems

Hi, hope you can help me.
have a 3 year old Msi gt72s laptop that recently started developing a problem..
whilst gaming the laptop would freeze and give me a black screen, I also noticed the psu would switch off and I would have to unplug it completely and replug it back in to get my laptop to boot.# however yesterday it crashed and now I cant start my laptop.. if I unplug my psu and replug it bak in the green light on psu goes out straight away.. if I unplug it from the laptop and the green light is on the psu, as soon as I connect it to the laptop the green light goes out before I even switch the laptop on...

is there anything I can do??

Could be a bad power brick, could be a motherboard issue. I have seen laptops with bad motherboards kill the powerbrick where it needs to be unplugged from power to get reset.
