Multi purpose laptop

Hi im a student who is looking for a laptop that will last me. I am a casual gamer also so i want something that can play games like skyrim and guild wars on medium to high settings. I also want good battery life though for when im typing papers and just surfing the web. My max price is 1200

As I described in the other thread your best bet is the Acer Aspire V7 for portability or the ASUS N550JV for performance while still maintaining some decent battery life.

I guess the ASUS N56JR is also worth mentioning if you want a little more graphics power but still the high quality ASUS build.

does the n56 have the same battery life as the others you have mentioned to me?

It has around the same battery like as the N550JV, which isn't that great. The Acer Aspire V7 is the only one that can push up to 8 hours.

okay if i were to custom build a toshiba could i get one with nvidia graphics and i7 but still keep it within my range?

Toshiba is the worst laptop manufacturer on the face of the planet. I would highly advise against it.

Not really. The ASUS or Acer laptops I linked would outperform it on your games and Toshiba's quality is such crap that you'd be lucky to get a year out of it.
