Multiple devices with sound bar

How do I connect TV, cable box, blue ray to sound bar? I have added an hdmi switch but there was still no sound from the bar when switching input to DVDs.

If you have optical out for sound from the TV (or other the sound bar can accept input from), I'll suggest using that directly to the sound bar - that should cover your sound output regardless of input device to the TV (I'm assuming all are connected to the same TV)

The sound bar has optical and it is connected to the TV. Problem is playing a movie; sound doesn't work when I change input on TV to the blue ray player.

In the tools of the blue ray player, you should have audio options - it appears the blue ray wants to be the output itself so look for options that'll allow an external (HDMI?) audio output
