Greetings all,

I've always wanted to try one of these gizmos. Has anyone here heard it
or use it? It just seems too good to be true, getting tube sweetness
without killing the solid state heft and control. Would love to hear
your opinions.

Thanks,

Brian

If one thinks this through, there is no way this tube device can
improve anything. It simply adds distortion.

You could not be more wrong. I've had my X-10v3 for about 3 years now, combined with the Musical Fidelity V-DAC and Wadia iTransport for my iPod. The three units make an inexpensive and impressive combination. The tubes in the X-10 truly do warm the harsh tones while not losing the image sharpness and musical detale of your amp's solid-state components. If you want to upgrade your middle of the line amp, I would strongly suggest buying an X-10. It will rival many higher-end amps out there without forking over major coinage.
