1. Run system set up for the HTS. This usually sends noise into each speaker so you can adjust its volume to match the other speakers. If you don't get all the speakers to work then the problem is in the HTS. Check the speaker wires. If you do get all the speakers to produce noise then
2. Make sure that your source is set to output in 5.1 (bitstream). That means that both the PC or TV or cable box has to be set for 5.1 and the actual program or file has to be 5.1
3. Make sure you have selected a surround sound mode that will work with the source. Some are for stereo sources so if your HTS is connected with analog audio or the source isn't 5.1 you need to use these modes.
