Please post more details about the "signal" which is called a "beep code".
How many beeps - long or short beeps, or a combination of both.
Also post make/model of laptop.

The "beeps" are telling you that there is a hardware problem. Tell us the beep sequence and we should be able to identify which hardware is faulty.
