My acer aspire e15 has a black screen and won't turn on.

My acer aspire e15 has the black screen problem and won't turn on. The problem is that the battery is built in so I don't know what to do to fix this problem , please help. Also I can see a faint reflection of the acer logo in the start up.

connect to an external monitor even a friend's to see if displays properly on the monitor as the laptop does turn on being you do see a faint outline of the acer logo.

I had the same problem. Spoke to Acer technology found in Argos catalogue as I bought the laptop only three weeks ago. It was corrected easily by turning the laptop over to the other side. There you will see a very tiny pin-hole, just above the Acer black label. Get needle and push gently through the hole. You will feel a "bounce" when it reaches the bottom. Remove needle. turn on your power button and you should be able to proceed. It worked for me.

The needle trick worked for me also. The trouble is making sure you are pressing down on the correct spot
