My Acer aspire ES - 15, N16C1 does not detect my webcam either. I can't find a fix anywhere.

My brand new ACER Aspire ES - 15, N16C1 does not detect my built-in webcam. It shows my wifi printer for some reason. I delete the printer and try to reinstall and every time it shows my printer but NO webcam. Frustrated!

try to recover the OS - if it does not work - just replace the aspire... new hardware including os should work out of the box (besides bloatware) from the very beginning - if not, not your problem

You're right. It should. I called tech support and the guy told me to bring up internet explorer and look up the "AcER User Manual" and read it for help! Talk about maddening!

I'm closing the thread because there is no answer except the computer is obviously defective. No wonder wal mart had it on sale with such a discount! Then to learn there is only one repair place in the US! And the tech infuriated me!

Thanks for everyone's advice! It mirrored my own thinking but having little experience I was afraid it was me!
