Solved! Acer Aspire E 15 does not show new wifi

The Wifi on my Acer Aspire E15 worked well at my old place. We moved into a new place with new Wifi. Our other devices connect well to this wifi and my laptop connects to other available wifi (like mobile hotspots). However, the new wifi does not even show up among the list of available wireless connections on my Acer laptop. How can I fix this?

Check for newer drivers for your wireless card. That is a pretty new laptop so should be able to work on both 2.4 and 5ghz bands. Usually when you can't see a signal at all the adapter can't work on the band the signal is on. Also would need to reboot the router and check for an update for that.
