My acer laptop computer will power on but the screen will not come on.

My ace laptop powers up. But the screen doesn't come on. It never got wet. And it's never been dropped. Please help. What can I do?

Just plug an ordinary PC monitor into the VGA connector on the side of the laptop...

Before trying an external monitor make sure the backlight hasn't accidentally been turned off. Check your manual to determine which key toggles the backlight.
