My Acer refuse to stop updating

Please everyone I need help as my Acer has refuse to stop updating for over 29hrs now. What can I do so not to lost any information. Thanks

1. Turn off the device (yes I know it says not to but for this you need to).
2. Turn off your WiFi. If connected via Ethernet then unplug that. If you can't turn off the WiFi, take the laptop where there isn't any.
3. When there is no way it can connect to the internet, turn the laptop on.

It should now cycle through and load. Once it has you can reconnect to the internet.
