My Android phone blinks the Samsung logo but won't start up

I closed my phone but didn't turn it off entirely last night. This morning I saw that the screen was black (normal) but the Samsung logo was blinking on and off. When I tried to start it nothing changed. I pulled out the battery and then put it back in but no change. When I plugged it in I saw that the battery is 3/4 charged. I've tried holding down both the volume and power button but still no change. Help !

What model is this Samsung? Can you just unplug and plug again the battery ?
