My Android phone won't work

When my phone wouldn't work, I removed tghe battery. When I replaced it, the phone will go throgh the start-up with the android screen, then nothing. The screen in plain black but lit. Then the white HTC screen will randomly flash, then nothing again. No new damage, just started malfunctioning. If I remove the battery, then replace it without turning the phone on, it will charge, but if I've tuned it on since putting the battery back, it won't.
