my android tablet will get wifi but i cant get on the internet.

More information is needed. How are you "getting" wifi? Does it tell you there is an available connection? If your router has a password on it, you will need to enter that on your tablet, and make sure it is configured to use the same security as your router.

Im getting wifi from my cable modem and yes the security is the same as the modem

Do you have other wireless devices that work on it?

Try connecting again.

You will need your network password

Touch the name of your network.

The network setting comes up.

Touch forget.

Then sign in and connect again.

You could also try disconnecting the power to your router and leaving it off for thirty seconds or so.

Then plug it in again. This resets the router.
