My Asus D553M just stopped working. No lights and won't power up

I was on my laptop,it was fine. I left for an hour,came back and it won't turn on. The power and battery light are both off and it doesn't have a removable battery. I tried unplugging the charger and turning it on,and I had it unplugged for 30sec. and plugged it in and held the power button down for 30secs. Nothing on either attempt. Please help !

Hi,

Please do try these troubleshooting steps that I had suggested with others who had the same problem that may help you.

- Start by doing a hard reset, unplug the AC adapter then press and hold the power button for 20 seconds then try if it will boot up.
- If these will not work test the AC adapter to see if it's supplying enough voltage to power the laptop or if you have another charger that has the same voltage you can use try it and see if it will boot up normally.
- Next to try is to reseat the RAM, remove them all for couple of seconds then put them back in making sure that they are all seated properly.
- If all these will not work the problem will be with the motherboard of your laptop.
- If it's still under the factory warranty contact Asus Support for a repair.
