My Avira Free Antivirus has stopped Updating Suddenly

Okay so first off a bit of background on the system I'm running. It's a Windows 10 machine and has the latest updates installed (Ver: 1607). I am not using any proxies, and the rest of the Internet works perfectly. In fact, I'm writing this from the same machine.

Yep clock time is correct and I had been waiting for more than 48 hours and going round their support forums looking for any clue of server outages. Seems like that is not the case.

Open Avira-> on the top go to Extras-> Configuration-> General->Security-> and un-check "Protect processes from unwanted termination", click Apply and OK
