Solved! my command prompt also not working what i do?

in my lap top windos 8.1 command promt is not opening

If you press your Windows icon in the bottom left hand corner of the screen, and the R key together, you should see the Run box. Type
cmd
and hit the Enter key.

Does that produce a Command form?
