My dell laptop starts sometimes with blank screen

blank screen after win7 pro start up.

i had the same problem with a toshiba. i forgot exactly how i fixed it but i tried different chipset and graphics drivers. untill it worked right.

Does it still show a blank screen when connecting an external monitor to the laptop? If so, could be a graphics card problem, if it does, then check your drivers and/or re-install Windows again. Is it a legit copy of Windows?
