My droid Maxx 2's home and tab button stopped working. PLEASE HELP

I can't fix it with one of those home button apps. My mom is really mad and I need help!!!!

Those are virtual buttons. You can try to do a factory reset, that will wipe the phone to new settings. Make sure you backup your files before doing that, all internal storage not on an SD card will be wiped. You'd want to remove the memory card if you have one in there before trying the restore. All programs, etc... will need to be re-added. Unless you spilled something on the phone or dropped it, nothing here to be mad at anyone about, hardware fails.
