THE SUBSTANCE is positively the Best Sci-Fi Movie of 2024. DEMI MOORE gives one of the bravest most dynamic performance of any actor this year. The movie has the look and feel of a Stanley Kubrick film in his prime. In my opinion perfect until the last 20 mins in which the director goes off the deep end and tries to turn it into a high-camp affair reminiscent of cult films like : Society, Basket Case, Dead-Alive... If you can cut off that last 20 mins you have a masterpiece
