Solved! My friend's lost phone?

My friend's phone is lost for maybe a week. And I have a classmate that has the same characteristics of the phone. But how do I prove that my friend's phone is stolen by my classmate? Also the phone looks reformatted. How will I know that my friend's phone is stolen by my classmate? Do I need to use a locator? Or will I just get the IMEI of my friend's phone and compare it with my classmates phone? My classmate that has the same phone is really naughty and also bad. So I will not doubt anybody exept him. So what do you think? What will I do now? I really don't know what to do. Please help me. Hoping you'll help me. Thanks!

If the IMEI is the same, it's the same phone. If you are talking about "classmates" talk to one of the teachers or the principal if you suspect someone stole the phone.
